Marlon Odom

Marlon Odom

Founder and CEO of Hurdle Science, a technical training program focused on the biomechanics of sprinting, hurdling, and strength training. Coach Odom is a former four-time Collegiate All-American at Texas Tech, three-time West Regional Champion, Big 12 indoor hurdles champion, and three-time Big 12 outdoor 110-meter hurdles champion. He also previously served as head sprints and hurdles coach at the Olympic Training Center in Stuttgart, Germany.

Richard James

A 2004 Olympian, World Indoor Champion, NCAA All-American, and co-founder of Brooklyn Speed & Power. Coach James holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and brings more than 20 years of high-performance coaching experience, including developing four Olympians and more than 25 conference-championship teams.

Follow Marlon Odom and Richard James as they assess movement, select drills, deliver cues, correct technique, and adapt instruction for athletes at different levels.

Coach participants observe only and may not participate in drills or training activities unless specifically invited by clinic staff.

Who can register as an athlete?

The clinic is open to middle school, high school, and collegiate athletes who want to improve sprint and hurdle mechanics. Athletes do not need to be current Brooklyn Speed & Power members.

Does registration include both days?

Yes. Athlete and coach registration both include Friday and Saturday. One-day registration is not available.

Can I register more than one athlete?

Yes. Add one Athlete Registration for each participant and complete a separate registration form for each athlete.

What is the cancellation policy?

No refunds, transfers, or makeup sessions are available. The clinic will take place rain or shine at York College. If conditions require cancellation, registered participants will receive instructions by email.

What does the Coach Shadow Pass include?

Coach participants receive access to both clinic days as an observation and learning experience. This pass does not include participation in athlete drills or training activities.
